I’m Ady, which is short for Adrienne.
In my early twenties, I qualified as a registered nurse for adults with learning disabilities. Like many nurses in those days I suffered years of sciatica and severe back pain. I was introduced to yoga in 1998. I truly believe that discovering yoga saved me from back surgery and a life of pain because my core strength, alignment and muscles in my back are now stronger. I realised that yoga can improve all aspects of health and well being, emotionally, mentally and physically.
I qualified as a yoga teacher in 2011 and I have been teaching regular classes in the South Oxfordshire where I have built up a strong professional following.
I continue to maintain my own personal practise at home and by attending courses with Uday Bhosale who had taught at the Ramamani Institute with BKS Iyengar. I have travelled to India to attend an intensive course with Abhijata Shrindar, Iyengar’s grandaughter. All Qualified Iyengar teachers have to re-register every year and prove they have kept up their professional development to remain on the list.
As well as regular courses I have now added workshops, weekend retreats and yoga holidays to my offerings. My blog posts on the home page will keep you up-to date with my latest retreats and holidays or visit my classes page.
Come and share in my love of yoga and have some fun on your mat with me by booking a class!
